Benjamin Franklin Gordon


Genealogical Abstracts from the Port Byron Glove, 1898-1900
The Rev. B. F. Gordon, late of Page Co., Iowa died May 13th. He was born in 1829 in Washington Co., Pennsylvania and came to Iowa in childhood. He moved to Illinois in early manhood where he lived until 1865 when he located on a farm a few miles west of Le Claire. In 1884 he moved to Shenandoah, Page Co., Iowa. His wife died 29 April 1899 and since then, he has lived in Le Claire, Iowa with his daughter, Mrs. Charles W. Parker at whose home he died on May 13th. He was married in August, 1854 to Elizabeth Huges and they had 7 children - 4 boys and 3 girls. Mrs John Suiter and Mrs. C.W. Parker are 2 daughters living in Le Claire and the other children live in Page Co., Iowa. Burial will be in Page County beside his wife.
